Why this keeps coming up
Apple gift cards fund App Store credit. Some subscriptions are true in-app products that can draw that balance. ChatGPT Plus, on the rows we verified, is billed as a plan that still wants a real payment instrument in that country. Redeeming a US Apple gift card does not create a Turkish or Indian card. It also does not change OpenAI region rules.
Google Play gift credit is a different product. It is the usual path forYouTube Premium when the Play country matches. Mixing those two checkouts is how people buy the wrong credit.
