How we verify prices
A verified row must include a local price greater than zero, an ISO currency, a source URL, and an ISO date. If any of those are missing, the price is not published.
Sources
- App Store in-app purchase catalog
- Apple regional product pages
- Steam store API (not published as a games table yet)
- Official web pricing pages when we open them
- Dated public euro rates to convert local storefront prices to USD. The ECB list covers most currencies we rank; naira, Pakistani rupee, Egyptian pound, dong, riyal, and dirham come from a public EUR-base table on the same date. Local currency remains the verified figure; USD is derived.
What is live in this build
YouTube Premium, Netflix, Disney+, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Notion, Microsoft 365, NordVPN, Surfshark, and ExpressVPN currently have dated App Store rows. Music and gaming storefronts stay blank until we check them.
What we refuse
We never copy competitor matrices. We never fill a missing country from its neighbors. We never publish a "cheapest country" for a service with zero verified rows. USD rank can disagree with a local integer (ChatGPT Plus in India is the example). Corrections:contact. Dated moves:price changelog.
