Wait — isn’t there a cheaper way on the website?
Character.AI sells subscriptions directly at character.ai/subscribe too, but that checkout charges $9.99 per month or $94.99 per year in US dollars regardless of where you live (checked August 2026). There is no regional pricing on the web.
So the geography game only works through app stores:
- Set an Apple ID’s country to Nigeria, Turkey, or Egypt.
- Download Character.AI from that storefront.
- Subscribe to c.ai+ at the local price shown.

Can I use a VPN to get cheaper Character.AI?
A VPN changes where you appear to browse from. It does not change which app store account you have or which payment method that account holds. The App Store follows the account’s registered country and billing address, not your IP.

Will my account get banned?
Nobody goes to jail for this.
