Turkey is cheapest for Coursera Plus at ₺699.99 / $14.60, versus $58.99 in the US, checked 29 Aug 2026. That lira sticker is Apple converting a global Plus catalog — it is not Coursera’s official government or university regional program. India is ₹5,300 / $55.35, almost the US, so do not crown rupees. Single course certificates and a Plus year on coursera.org are other invoices; we are not quoting undated web stickers. Plus by country: Coursera prices by country. Turkey: Coursera in Turkey.
Which country is cheapest for Coursera?
Turkey is cheapest for Coursera Plus at $14.60 versus $58.99 in the US, dated Aug 29, 2026.
Egypt is EGP 929.99 / $18.45. Nigeria is ₦25,900 / $19.14. Pakistan is Rs9,900 / $35.74, still under the US. India is ₹5,300 / $55.35 — a rounding gap, not a win. The UK is £51.99 / $70.48. Mexico is the expensive end at MX$1,399 / $82.12.
Plus is the catalog subscription. One Google-course certificate is a separate checkout.
Is Turkey’s lira Plus an official Coursera regional program?
No. Coursera did not publish a government-backed “Turkey pays less for degrees” scheme that we are ranking. ₺699.99 is the App Store Plus tier in lira. When the lira moves, the dollar column moves with it. That is FX on a global catalog, not a scholarship.
If you want Coursera’s documented student path, that is a different page: Coursera student discount. Do not paste that discount onto this Plus country list.
coursera.org also sells Plus by the year and sells individual course certificates. Read the sheet those checkouts show you today. We are not printing undated web dollars that will go stale against $14.60 and $58.99.
Does a VPN move Coursera Plus into Turkish lira?
No. An Istanbul IP does not resticker a US Apple ID to ₺699.99, and it does not turn coursera.org into the Turkish App Store.
In-app Plus follows the Apple ID country. coursera.org follows the Coursera account and the card’s issuing country. You can VPN through Ankara and still confirm $58.99 in-app. Coursera also documents countries that cannot transact at all; that is an account-country problem, not an IP problem.
How do I actually pay for Coursera Plus in lira?
This dated cell is App Store Plus. Apple wants a Turkish Apple ID and a method that storefront takes.
| Lira Plus instrument | App Store ₺699.99 cell |
|---|---|
| Turkish-issued card on that Apple ID | Yes |
| Apple gift credit redeemed in Turkey | Yes |
| Apple Pay on the Turkish ID | Yes |
| Google Play gift credit | No |

Coursera help documents cards and, in some markets, PayPal on the website. Prepaid cards are a poor fit for subscriptions there. If you already live in Turkey, confirm ₺699.99 inside the Coursera app before you subscribe, or open coursera.org and pay Coursera directly — still a Turkish account, still not a VPN. Lira cards and Apple credit: how to pay.
Need-based aid exists on many individual courses, not on Plus as a whole. If you only need three certificates, apply per course and skip the catalog month.
Will hopping Plus storefronts wipe my course certificates?
University certificates live on the Coursera login. Plus lives on the merchant that charged you. If Apple or Coursera closes the paying account, new Plus access stops. Completed certificates usually remain on the profile, but a closed login is how you lose the PDF, the share link, and the next specialization.
Do not migrate the account that holds degrees you already showed an employer. Do not buy a shared Coursera password — the certificate prints the account name, and the seller can reclaim the mailbox. Confirm lira on the Apple sheet, or confirm the catalog total on coursera.org, before you pay. How we check a Plus sticker: methodology.
Interactive coding Plus is a different catalog: Codecademy. Puzzle-course Premium is Brilliant.
