But the more useful discovery on this rank runs the other way: France charges €10.49, roughly $12.17, more than fifty percent above the US price. Viki’s storefront pricing is a patchwork, not a neat map of rich versus poor countries — and knowing how the patchwork works saves you money either way.

Every figure here is the monthly Pass tier, Viki’s core ad-free plan, as sold in each country’s App Store on Aug 29, 2026. Viki also sells a higher tier called Pass Plus with extra perks like cast-to-TV in more regions; that is a separate, pricier invoice and not what this ranking compares.
Wait — isn’t Turkey supposed to be the cheap one?
You will still see sites claiming Turkish Viki costs pennies, sometimes quoting a number as low as $0.27 a month. We could not verify that. Our Turkey row currently has no confirmed price because the storefront figure stopped checking out, and given that Turkey doubled its ChatGPT price overnight in June 2026, treating old Turkish bargains as fact is risky. If a list does not show a date next to the price, assume it is stale.
Will a VPN alone get you the Nigerian price?
No, and this is where most people waste effort. A VPN changes which storefront page loads in your browser, but your Viki purchase follows two things the tunnel cannot fake:
- Your account/storefront country — set when the account was created, or moved through the official region-change process.
- Your payment method’s country — a US card gets billed like a US customer regardless of the IP address.
So the honest sequence is: change the account region properly, then pay with something the target storefront actually accepts. The VPN is optional plumbing for step one at best; it replaces neither step. And be aware that moving your account to chase a lower price sits outside Viki’s terms — more on that below.
How do I actually pay for the cheap Viki price?
Viki gives you three routes, and they bill differently.
Route 1: the Viki website. This is the flexible one. Viki’s help center documents that viki.com accepts debit, credit, prepaid, and gift cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay in select countries (source: support.viki.com, checked August 2026). A plain prepaid Visa can therefore work where a local bank card cannot.
Route 2: the App Store. This is what our dated table verifies. You subscribe to Pass inside the iOS app, and Apple bills whatever payment method sits on the Apple ID — whose country decides the price. Apple ID gift-card credit for the matching storefront can cover it.
Route 3: Google Play. Same idea on Android, and Google Play additionally supports PayPal and carrier billing in many countries (documented by Viki support, checked August 2026).

Will my account get banned?
Nobody goes to jail over a streaming subscription, but Viki can close accounts it believes were moved across regions to exploit pricing, and it would be within its rights to. Two rules keep the downside small:
- Never migrate an account you cannot bear to lose. Watchlists and a purchased Pass are replaceable; years of episode progress are not.
- Before paying, confirm the currency and the full amount on the final billing screen. Card issuers may add a small international transaction fee when the charge is in naira, pesos, or baht.

Nigeria at $1.11 is the verified floor for Viki Pass right now, and Philippines at $16.16 is the friendliest version of the deal — familiar storefront, low friction. Whatever route you pick, buy it yourself with a payment method you control. Gray-market logins get recycled and revoked; a Pass you subscribed to under your own name keeps working after the seller disappears.
