Are these the same product?

- Netflix is a general entertainment library: films, series, documentaries, plus a decent anime shelf. Its originals budget dwarfs everyone else’s.
- Crunchyroll is dedicated anime: the largest simulcast catalog anywhere, with new Japanese episodes landing hours after broadcast, plus manga and a store discount.
If you watch three or more shows per season and mostly anime, Crunchyroll covers more of your actual watching at a fraction of the cost. If you also want prestige dramas and movies, it cannot replace the bigger library — most heavy viewers we would honestly advise end up picking the anime service as their base and adding the general one selectively.
