The old Prime Video Edition (mobile-only) is gone from Amazon India’s plans page as of that check. Shopping Edition at ₹399/year has no video. If a roundup still ranks “Prime Video India” as a cheap streaming plan, it is describing a bundle or a plan Amazon no longer sells.

A US Amazon account over an Indian IP still pays US Prime. An Indian account keeps Rs 1,499/year when you travel. Changing countries means Amazon account-country rules, not a YouTube Play-country trick and not a Spotify Ininal card.

If you live in India, the domestic Prime bundle is already near the cheapest official Prime anywhere. Engineering a foreign Prime account to “save” on video is the wrong merchant for that job — and Netflix’s cheaper Pakistan Standard is a Netflix story, not Prime’s.
