Cancel Google-billed YouTube Premium at youtube.com/paid_memberships: Manage membership, Deactivate, continue to cancel. Benefits run until the paid period ends. Confirmed against Google’s cancel pages, August 2026.

This is not the ChatGPT cancel page. YouTube has a pause (one to six months) that Apple-billed members cannot use. Music Premium is bundled. Two memberships can be alive at once if you once paid Apple and later paid Google. Check both.

Dated US Individual on this site is the App Store cell at $20.99, 29 Aug 2026. India Individual on Apple is ₹289. We will not print an undated youtube.com web sticker next to those cells. Read your own web receipt on the other door: iOS vs web.

Who bills you decides where the button lives

Where you signed up Who charges you Where you cancel
youtube.com in a browser Google YouTube settings, any device
Android app (new signups since 2022) Google Play YouTube settings or Play Store subscriptions
iPhone or iPad app Apple iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions
iOS app but Google-billed (older accounts) Google A computer or Android device — not the iOS YouTube app

If Purchases and memberships shows Manage Apple Subscriptions, YouTube’s own controls will not end the plan.

Some people hold two memberships. Check Apple subscriptions and YouTube purchase history before you assume one cancel finished the job.

Pause is Google-only. Apple cannot pause

Next to Deactivate, YouTube often offers pause: one to six months, starts after the current cycle, no charge during it, then it resumes. Annual plans cannot pause. Apple-billed members cannot pause at all. That sentence would be false on ChatGPT, which has no six-month pause switch.

During a pause you lose Premium benefits, including family members on the plan. Riding out a month you already paid keeps them until the last day.

Play credit can fund Google-billed youtube.com memberships when the Play country matches. It does not cancel an Apple sheet, and it does not pay the dated India Apple Individual cell. Rails: /how-to-pay/.
