How to get a refund from Spotify Premium

Apple reviews case by case (status often 24–48 hours; card refunds can take 30 days). Play’s fast lane is short. After 48 hours you are on Spotify’s policy.

India Individual is ₹139. US Individual is $12.99. Neither fact prorates a month you already used.

Chargebacks can suspend the account. A win against Apple can lock the whole store — purchases, credit, family sharing.

Will Spotify refund a month I already used?

Almost never. The published policy (August 2026) is keep-what-you-paid-for. Access runs to the end of the paid period. That is the compensation.

What actually gets refunded?

Mischarges: duplicate same-day bills, wrong amounts, charges after cancel, charges on an account you could not log into. Changed minds do not.

Apple or Spotify?

Do gift cards help a refund?

Spotify gift cards were discontinued globally. There is no gift-credit unwind. Netflix TRY gift codes are a different merchant.

Does Google Play refund Spotify?

Within about 48 hours of the charge, often via Play order history. After that, Spotify's stricter policy applies.

Should I chargeback?

Last resort. A dispute can freeze the Spotify account or the whole Apple/Google store. Try the vendor form twice first.
